When I created Stab there weren’t many things I was looking forward to in my life and felt very little motivation in general. It became my creative outlet to and way to express my thoughts that I couldn’t explain in just words.
This first collection self repaired is about how when I first created stab it started with me just fucking up my jeans and just distressing them, hand stitching, to try and put stuff together, but I failed to come out with the vision I always seek. But what I learned in this process was that the fuck ups created was more depth to each piece, mistakes and how I fix them up was my collection now.
Self repaired.
But this idea applied to my life as well. All the mistakes that I learned from were much like scars are left on my body forever or like trauma left engraved in my mind forever, but this project helped me realize it’s how you adapt and add on These Past mistakes that makes you a deeper and more beautiful person.
